Palace (A) Post Match Thread

I watched the match on tv and all the presenters agreed that Zaha dived for the penalty. Graham poll said firmly that Zaha should be banned for diving. But just read the BBC report and no mention of a dive or possible retrospective ban. In fact, it is described as a foul by sterling. Very poor and false reporting by BBC.

Justice done with penalty being saved and hopefully this will inspire team and confidence will not be affected.

You have a far weaker sense of the meaning of "justice done" than I have.

If we we ever going to drop points, it’d be through the busy Xmas period.
We aren’t going to win every game, and it shows the resolve not to be beaten, even when facing down a soft penalty.
The record has been set, the win streak finished, we can draw a line under that and go again against Watford.
Let’s hope David Silva can come back in and give KDB a break

Well done Roy. I don't think Palace as a whole should get so much stick. Zaha did what Zaha does against every team - few tricks, few dives. Puncheon's horrible challenge wasn't indicative of the rest of the game imo (and that yellow card = 99% chance no investigation rule should be changed - he should be banned). Those two can fuck off but credit to the rest of their team.

We had an off day. Not B Silva's best position out wide which wasn't helped by less overlapping from Walker - prob with one eye on the Zaha counter. Walker was brilliant 2nd half. Cheers Edy for earning me £30.
Another appeaser.
Palace were an absolute disgrace today.

If De Bruyne comes away unscathed from his stretcher then it’s not a disaster. Last minute penalty save turns it in to a minor positive given defeat was right there. Hopefully the players are hungry to avoid feeling like this again.

Our performance was lethargic for long spells, and we created very little. So we didn’t really do enough to walk away to 3 points comfortably and when that happens there’s always a chance of a draw or defeat.

Why is Puncheon even on the pitch? Wasn’t he recently charged with assault with a weapon?

was going to ask the same thing.......wasnt he arrested for being in a brawl and possessing a weapon of some sort?

If so he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the pitch.....then again I us pose if he was a normal person with a normal job he would still be allowed to work until his case went to court and he was either found guilty or innocent...

Having taken a bit of time to calm down, I can only conclude that Moss ruined that game for us.

His positioning during the game lead me to suspect that he was deliberately getting in the way of our outlet ball time and time again. And as for protection for our creative players; Pep's comments obviously fell on deaf ears.
