Reading the following story about a 2yr old kidnapped by two young schoolgirls, my heart started beating fast. It's fuckin' shit scary the things people can do, but its a really good article and they've done it well. If you're very sensitive and have kids, i'd give it a miss as i'm not sensitive at all but this nearly had me crying:

Bloody hell, it's not until the end that the seriousness of what they may have had planned dawns. I don't always speak fondly of the boys in blue, but well done in their great work tracking her down, you definitely feel the tension and relief in finding her and without their great work the consequences are unthinkable, and that picture of James Bulger, fuck me, I nearly had to stop reading there.

With the way internet porn is so freely available now and how much more extreme it is than the VHS' youd pass round back in the day, i expect more stuff like this in the future. Im dead against censorship and think its down to the parents to stop their kids accesing this stuff, but i can only imagine how hard that must be in this day and age.
To be shown stuff like that at such a young age can only normalise it in your head, has to have an effect on future relationships at the very least and things like this at the worst.

The Police did a great job tracking and finding these girls. Thank God the girl was found unharmed . It makes you wonder what sort of upbringing these schoolgirls had, a bit like James Bulgers (RIP) killers they were feral and allowed to do what they pleased with parents that didn't care.

Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention I for one am a over protective parent it's quite sad really when children can't play out/enjoy childhood in society today it seems a daily occurrence now I know the article you have posted is thankfully quite rare but it highlights the dangers that children face in society today.

Reminded me of that movie I watched recently where two young teenagers kidnapped a baby and brought her to a cave somewhere. These things always put me on my toes, some of my relatives think that I'm being overprotective but gone are the days where you can let you child run around the playground unwatched.

I have to admit the Jamie Bulger pic got me too, i'm old enough to remember the case and how crazy it all was. I remember at the time (i was just a kid then) me and my mum watching a report on it in the evening where they detailed what young Jamie had been put through and being a bit shocked when i turned to my mum and she was in tears, i will never forget not understanding why she was crying for someone else's kid. As I have gotten older and have my own kids, you really get an understanding of it all and why everyone was so upset.

Yep, but kids at that age are very easy to manipulate and i get the feeling that whoever this person is they were chatting to in chatrooms has got something to do with this. The article mentions weird internet activity patters, almost as if they are being instructed to look something up. Who knows though, i would say these kids need to go through EXTENSIVE counselling and the professionals need to get the truth out of them ASAP to protect others.

I'm the same, especially when you're out in Trafford Centre or somewhere like that, it scares the crap out of you what could happen. I remember being in the McDonalds queue in trafford centre to get my daughter a happy meal, she didnt want to stand right next to me as she wanted to climb on the rails so she could see the food being made, i told her not to move (she was just to the left of me with nobody in between) and i had literally just turned my head to make my order and before i did i took a quick look left again to see if she was ok and she was gone. Absolutely shit myself, but somehow she couldnt see me even though i was right next to her and had panicked and walked off crying, i left the order and legged it, some woman had seen her crying while she was with her own kids and was just about to ask her if she was ok before i ran over and picked her up. Anything could have happened, but i dont think its a recent phenomena, its just more widely reported now.
