Watching breaking. Great talent and athleticism but the bravado is sickening. Essentially it is compeitive disrespect.

And Mary Peters didn’t compete in the Heptathlon, when she won Gold it was the Pentathlon.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it as a sport given that there are other dance events. But the trappings that come with it are embarrassing imo. Same probably with skateboarding or other x games type sports if I had the stomach to watch them.

The Olympics should be about pushing the body in amazing ways while being respectable and sporting.

No. Check the post I replied to....

That poster was clearly, to me anyway, referring to winning the Olympic decathlon 3 times. As far as I am aware, no athlete has won the Olympic decathlon three times. Though I stand to be corrected on that.
