Amsterdam is famous for 3 things
Bicycles, Canals and I can't think of the third thing.
I have been almost driven in to the water by a geared dickhead in an A3, though!Thats because its terrible for your short term memory ;)
On Amsterdam, while bikes are absolutely everywhere and the City is tailored to them, I don't think I've ever spotted a single middle aged dickhead in lycra thinking they are in the Tour de France and I go multiple times a year! Rare you see a bike with gears tbh, all fixies and recently e-bikes.
