We have made a huge oversight and our daughters passport had ran out. We are due to go to Spain on Saturday. Has anyone been able to get an urgent passport for their child recently??

Pretty sure you can get one from your local passport office in a day, think you have to pay more but makesure you check the website and take all the documentation you need with you and be prepared for some waiting around. Seem to remember that you can make an appointment on line.

In order to get your Passport urgently you will need to book an appointment at a local passport office. As there are only 7 major Passport offices throughout the UK you will need to find your nearest one, you can use our Passport office locator here.

You will need to either call the passport advice line to book an appointment by phone or request a booking online here if more convenient.

You will need to choose a date and time to attend, you will also need to specify as to which appointment would best suite your requirements, either the One Day Premium Service or One Week Fast-Track Service.

Tell them if they don't sort you out you're all going for Irish passports and you're going to sell your story to the S*n and Fail. The reverse worked for me.

Thanks everyone. Just hoping this comes off. I’ve made an appointment for Thursday in Durham....just praying we can get one on the day
