There is a god Barry's gone!!!
This is from his write up on City I will quote the City bit he seems to think Everton should look at how City have stepped up to rival the Rags.

" It seems that I will soon be joined by a flood of new members to the Roberto Mancini fan club. Last year for much of the season while most judges kept bigging up Tevez defending Mancini often made me a lone voice. How things change. Spending hundreds of millions of pounds on players has been a statement of Citys intent. How sweet it must have been for Mancini to have the luxury of leaving troble maker Tevez on the bench for the Spurs game.
Its called man management and Mancinis team-building has shown a strength of character that augurs well amongst the insanity of modern football pressure. Money helps build success because it buys you good players but when you throw bucketfuls of cash around , another key ingredient good old fashioned patience can be lost in the lust for success. It was a big call to bring Mancini in. The guy has plenty of experience is tough as old boots and possesses a deep intelligence and conviction that threatens old school football fans.
Im always fascinated at the contrast between the traditional British and Irish philosophy fuelled by passion and a more studied and technical European approach. Foreign coaches rarely talk about passion they use the word emotion. British coaches want to use passion to win the war. Wereas Mancini and Villas Boas like to control the emotion so that they can work out a strategy to win games.
Passion can win games by knocking down the front door whereas intelligence can find a way in when the door is firmly locked. Mancinis CV deserved greater respect from the British hacks than they were prepared to give it when he first arrived. If you want to see how ruthless Mancini is look no futher than the way he fronted up to Tevez. Stripped him of the captaincy found options to make sure he wasnt indispensable.
Great teams cannot totally depend on individuals. The best players are Plan A but having effective Plans b and c wins trophies. City fans will look at the table and be delirious. Theres good fans at City and now they know they've got good owners a good team and a good manager. City and their manager are to be admired."

I know its long but Dolan has been pro City for some time nice to see him write about City always worth a read.
