Patrick Roberts | Sold to Sunderland

Still only 23 - he seems to have been around forever.

Boro have a bit of a tradition of English wingers and Warnock can do a reasonable job in the Championship - he got Michael Brown playing the best football of his career when they were at Sheffield United converting him to an attacking midfielder who scored 22 goals in 54 appearances in the 2002–03 season.

If Roberts stays clear on injury this move could be the making of him.

We should have capitalized on his transfer after his first spell at Celtic. Missed the boat now and the poor lads having his career wasted.
You make it sound like it's City's fault? We wanted to find him a more challenging loan after his first season at Celtic but he insisted on going back. Injuries have hampered him since.

This just didn't happen. I still don't get why the charming man spent 10m on a prospect.
Well we didn't spend £10mill on him for starters but the reason we bought him is because he was a very good prospect (and hopefully still is). Shit happens I guess.

Edit: looks like he's contracted until Summer 2022 so this should be his final loan.

Ruined his career playing in a flat track league
Playing for Celtic might have the trophies (shitty trebles every year) and the fans etc but as far as a competitive level he just wasted years of his career
No interest in him
