Lambert is more than OK guy and some of you have very short memory..
He is the only manager in Premier League that never used money excuse when facing City and never said a word bad about City. When Balotelli scored with shoulder last year, the BBC interviewer asked him after the match was that disrespecting and he answered - "you really want a headline, don't you. You won't get that from me. He has the right to score on any allowed way."
Even after incident with Mancini that is pretty much nothing, he didn't want to say anything when journo said what Mancin aid and answered - "it was nothing. I respect Mancini as player and manager". End of story.
No need to dig for enemies when they're not. Lambert is one of rare classy managers in PL that don't talk shit about others, in the line of Martinez.

I think you are right, Lambert is one of the better guys, speaks his mind and seems a decent bloke to me
