The agent usually gets paid twice, from both clubs, if they have brought the two together.

Third-party ownership is illegal in Britain, so United would have to pay £100m plus to Juventus and then on top of that 25 per cent of the total fee to Mino, to end his economic rights, which will be about £22m.

In addition, a player would usually expect about £10m signing-on fee for such a huge transfer fee.

It would not surprise me if Pogba would make £20m cash overnight, with Mino kicking back some of his own money.

As stated previously, it's a very shady set of circumstances, especially so, if you consider Mino has already taken United for £10m for Ibrahimovic and Mikityryan.

He can well afford to sweeten the deal and Pogba's mind.

In addition to £300,000 a week wages over five years, Pogba's entire deal comes in at over £200m.

It's the money United were hoping they would use one day for Ronaldo or Neymar.

Pogba is neither!

What about Pogba's image rights which, when City were apparently interested last summer, were quoted as being owned by his former agent? A figure of £25 million to pay him off was mentioned at the time. Is this still the case? If so, the rags will have to add that to the final bill as well. ;)

He can't have Madrid, however, if they can't bring the money up to an acceptable level for Juventus.

The agent is bound to drive the deal, as Sterling's did last year.

For my own part, there are still a few twists in the plot, having witnessed in recent years the almost hysteric positive reinforcement which accompanied the supposed done deals for Sneijder, Thiago, Vidal and Ramos.

None of them which were even close to the reports that accompanied them.
Hang on, I thought the rags brought all four of them through their academy so wouldn't have to sign them...

Settled it earlier in the year.

Perhaps the money came from Mino and his huge cut is part of the agreed payback...

Sky reporting he had the most shots on target in Serie A. You'd think they'd talk about his goal stats.... but went on about fouls instead!

Madrid are being very quiet but I would never rule out anything when it comes to them.

Surely Madrid have some plans before a possible transfer ban until Jan 2018 might be in place.
Yeah Real have 620m € debt. But they have some interesting players to collect the money. James, Kroos, Isco.
We could be part of that business. Not necessarily, but we know Kroos is highly rated by Pep.

Which is total bullshit anyway, because he had less than half the shots on target Gonzalo Higuain ended up with in the Serie A. Hell, he was behind Lorenzo Insigne too.

You know this is a ridiculous overspend when Sky go inventing stats to somehow justify United breaking the transfer record for a player they let go on a free.

Surprised they aren't reporting that he had the most haircuts or something equally as ridiculous

Quality player who i have no doubt will improve them but don't let anyone kid you this move is about one thing and one thing only MONEY.

On the plus side the next tie a rag accuses us of buying the title just through this back in their faces.

To be honest when Bale went to Madrid i though the fee was too high but there was a bit of a bidding war and he is genuinely top quality, quite how Pogba is valued at £100 million is beyond me.

Dont get me wrong i would have loved for us to be in for him but anything over £70 million and i would be embarressed.

They HAD to get Pogba, all these new and existing sponsors, who pay into their coffers, would have been promised very high profile player signings. This is how they make their money. Mouriniho/Pogba = big website clicks. Possibly neither were based on sound footballing judgement. Clicks = sponsors = revenue. That is all.

Thanks for the information. I agree with your conclusion.
