Former pro-cyclist and TV commentator has died aged only 62. Rode 7 Tours de France and commentated alongside Phil Liggett for years. No age really.

Learned more about France listening to Paul Sherwen than I ever did doing g.c.s.e French.
Enjoy Boulting and Miller doing the commentary but it will never be as good as Phil and Paul.

Will be sadly missed. Used to enjoy his commentary.
Yeah, he was very good at making the very boring bits (most of it) of cycling seem like anything could happen at any moment, hence getting you to the next ad break, still wanting to know whether the peloton could maintain the pace for the next 15minutes.Will be sadly missed. Used to enjoy his commentary.

RIP. Him and Phil Liggett absolute legendary commentary combo. Spent many an hour listening to him and his descriptions of riders 'turning themselves inside-out' whilst they moved their 'machines' up Mont Ventoux, Alpe D'huez and assorted others. Sad day for cycling.

Until Boulting and Miller showed up I used to spend each tour alternating between Phil and Paul and the Eurosport lads, RIP Paul very decent rider and excellent commentator
