on my loan. should i be getting this in these uncertain times? my bank says they no longer do it because everyone is claiming it back. can anyone recommend a company because i would hate to be sacked and unable to pay it.

quite often better getting employment insurance to give you cover in the event of sick or unemployment.

I did it and it was cheaper than the PP, and I had to claim for 6 months getting a grand month it covered other bills too.

Try a company called MMS. We changed ours on 2009 to cover our mortgage for 12 months. I think it was £14 p/m and were happy to take us on even when others were raising prices.

I was made redundent at the end of 2009 and started claiming in June. They have been very good and no issues about the claim.

Good luck but don't get scared into over insuring.
