Pc v Console

The graphics my pc puts out puts a console to shame, yet it cost me a lot less.

How do you find the costs of upgrading your system for the latest games and is socialising just as easy as an xbox for example?

General questions as it's always bothered me.

So fuck.

I have a PS3, PS2, 2 Xbox360's and a PC that is reasonable enough to play COD on with out slowing down.

I like them all, horses for courses.

Management style games PC>Consoles
Other games Console>PC mainly for the pick up and play aspect of it.

PC gaming is superior. There's no point in even having a debate about that. The options open to PC gamers are much vaster. It can also be excellent value for money if you've already got a decent PC.

However, most people are better suited to console gaming which is a vertically-integrated experience and is probably better value for money for those people.

Unfortunately, this argument will become redundant within ten years probably. They are trying to take our processing power away from us and most people will accept that sadly.

I won't accept it! I'll be damned if onlive and the rest take over (rumours that i have an onlive account are misleading).

I have a console and rarely use it preferring the wonderful world of online gaming that my nearly high spec PC allows. Best of all is the customisation and freedom to do what the hell you want with a PC. If i want to add things to a game i can, if i want to create my own servers i can, if i want to upgrade my PC i can...none of which is possible with a console. I can still chat to all my friends (and have been doing for years), it can run tv, dvd's, download anything for free (cough) and with the right system sound fantastic.

I still play Red Dead (never coming to pc now) and a few others that are more suited to the console.

Cloud based gaming mate. Processor in the sky meaning you can play top games on crappy laptops. I've tried out Onlive and it works. Just Cause 2 runs on my 5 year old laptop.
