All comes down to the needs of the user at the end of the day. When talking graphically then yeah there is no point discussing as PC will win hands down all day long.
When it comes to ease of use though i think console wins imo. When the latest game comes out for console, you don't need to worry whether your console is powerful enough to run it, are my drivers upto date, will i need to download anything extra. Pop the disc in and away you go.
I used to game on PC a lot and found it to be a somewhat lonely experience in comparison to console gaming. Mainly due to not many of my friends playing on PC and probably the games i played.The first thing i do when i boot my xbox up though is jump right into a party with friends then decide what game we're playing.
I do envy PC's modding community though, only have to look at GTA IV ICE or Skyrim to see why.
