Pellegrini reveals Guardiola announcement destabilised his Manchester City squad

The announcement wouldn't have been a shock to the players - they've known of the potential managerial change for ages.

Many of us on BM were pretty sure the appointment was nailed on months and months ago. Anybody who thinks that the players and their agents etc. were less ITK than us are being naive at the very least.

The only thing that is deliberately inflammatory is your loaded, agendarist response and we all know why. Manuel is gone mate, I didn't push him, Sheikh Mansour did so mop up your tears and move on just as I, most fans and Manchester City Football Club have.
I'm completely unbothered that MP has/will be gone, so no tears here.

You knew exactly that your headline (nicked from the MEN) would be inflammatory, which is why you posted it as you did, you could even have edited it when you "found out", but you didn't.

I've no agenda at all, other than to prevent threads getting into arguments.

You really are desperate for an argument aren't you fella as you're the only person causing one. I never 'nicked' a headline from the MEN, I copied it verbatim (or so I thought) as many others do and posted the link and made a comment. After I posted it I realised I'd missed a bit of text and when I tried to rectify it, I found I couldn't but there was no need to worry as help was at hand.

One of you fellow Mods spotted the thread title error and corrected it for me with no issues raised whatsoever, until you galloped into the situation with your 10 gallon Stetson cocked, cheroot in gob with your 6 shooters a blazin and completely missed the fuckin target. Like I said you've just taken an opportunist cheap shot and made yourself look like a right dick.

FYI please read the first page of the thread and in future, please try to keep up.

Correct. All people have to do is read the actual quotes rather than just the deliberately misleading headline but people tend to be too lazy to even think for themselves and would rather let the media do it for them.

Which continually amazes me, especially considering we're all aware that they are trying to make their stories as sensational as possible.

Doesn't make sense to me. Almost every situation of this type the players usually rally around the skipper when they know he's going to get fired. The troops want him to go out with a bang. Unless they hate his guts or he's lost the locker room. Which obviously isn't the case with Pellers. Weird timing.

It's not what he is saying. He's saying the constant speculation around certain players futures hasn't been ideal. For example Thierry Henry was on sky the other week, a man respected in the game who's played for Pep. It took him just 30 seconds to explain why he thought Hart & YaYa amongst others days were numbered.

I imagine it's not easy for someone like Joe to be told he has no future by someone like Henry. Joe's distribution cited as the reason. Can he play out from the back? Who's to say that wasn't playng on his mind in Paris? Was he trying to show he's confident enough to play from the back?
Litterally no one knows.

Just watched it. I'd be asking questions too.

No. You went off at my comment.
All I said was I copied the headline and provided a link to the MEN article. I told you if you were so arsed about it, get in touch with the MEN and you replied that I was deliberatley being inflammatory.

OK, if I made up the thread title and deliberately misrepresented the jist of the article, then yes perhaps it could be contrued that I was being 'deliberately inflammatory', but as it was all I did was copy verbatim what was there with a comment that surely Manuel couldn't have come out and said that as he was the one who confirmed Pep to City.

As it is he DID say that Pep being announced and players reading who might be coming or going would obviously have an effect on their mentality but there were many reasons for our drop off in form NOT just the Pep announcement and subsequent media speculation.

The MEN chose to concentrate on one aspect of what Manuel said in their headline which is par for the course for the media in this country, but they also mentioned that other things were also responsible for our loss of form. So like I said if you have an issue with it take it up with the MEN and stop taking out your blatant Pellegrini retribution agenda against me. It wasn't me who sacked him nor did I write the article you've got your Y-Fronts in a twist about.

Thanks in advance

All I'm going to say is at what point do those among us who dont like him say to themselves, he is gone in a matter of weeks, no point in going over the same ground time and time again?

I can't see why it's been a point since the announcement tbh.

Me neither to be honest mate.

Especially so given the form over the last couple of weeks and the positive way we are finishing the season.

I think some just like to have a bit of a moan. The start of the thread is great, though, what with us being the world's most paranoid fans when it comes to media reporting. Some Blues reading a headline in the MEN that states MP admits the Pep announcement derailed us, and seeing that as some kind of valid point or form of justification to fit in with their opinions that MP is wank and has been all along; when that wasn't actually said in the article at all. Bit inconsistent that.

we had issues after the announcement cause KDB was injured.
-not because of the announcement.

Next topic.
