Will await the backlash as everyone is rightly excited and happy but he got lucky tonight. His team selection and tactics showed them too much respect and us little respect.

It's as if people seem to forget that we were 0-1 down with that selection and tactics before Sterling came on, Jesus went up top, KDB had options and we played how we normally play.

Madrid were there for the taking and the last ten minutes showed that. The home leg will be a comfortable victory if he doesn't show them respect again.
1 down because of nico dawdling, tactics were spot on

So a coincidence the change in formation and personnel in the last 17 minutes meant we scored 2 and had a last man sent off?

If the tactics worked then we would have won with them, we didn't, our normal tactics won the game in 17 minutes. The result would have been greater over 90 minutes.

Miserable ****. You don’t deserve this team.

Good fucking Lord. 1-2 up on aggregate against "European Elite". I trust this team to exercise caution appropriately in the second leg. Don't let the name/team/stadium fool you - we made it look relatively easy tonight.

They may be better next leg. So may we. It's not over. But tonight was all we needed it to be.

Makes you wonder what we might have done in the Champions League the past couple of seasons had we set-up like we did in the last 20 minutes.
