If Sterling wants to have a hissy fit about starting, maybe he should have a look in the mirror and look at how many times he misses from less than 5 yards. How his weight of pass in promising areas is utterly abysmal, and how he seems to run out of pitch when trying to take players on.

I've never known a player have such a lack of some of the basic technical skills required to be a footballer at any level.

Form affects everyone so i've no issue with lack of form, but when you make the kind of mistakes he does I don't think you're in any position to complain to the manager. He's so consistent with it I don't even think you can call it a mistake, its just sheer lack of ability or composure.

As good as he has been for us, and as good as his numbers usually are, he's in no position to complain.

Not having it. Foden would not reproach pep in anyway. It was not long ago that pep was calling him out to be more demanding of game time and not be happy to play a bit part role. Mountain out of a mole hill but I guess when CAS lies have failed you try a new negative approach. Players and managers disagree all the time. Load of crap.

What’s all this restore confidence rubbish. Carried him for over 12 months at last Pep has the measure of him at last. His best contribution to the cause will be a good bargaining tool to get a top striker this summer, I.e one who can score 1-1s and hit the proverbial barn door. My pick is the kid at Athletico or Haarland

While i believe this a very big mountain out of a molehill.....don't be so certain where Foden is concerned,he isnt as backwards in coming forwards as you might be led to believe.

The training pictures will tell us plenty tomorrow.

I agree with everything you say. I think his reputation as a great player is disguised by the team he plays for.
If he played for a mid table club would he improve them? I say no.

Foden did play midweek though and played brilliantly. The section in mid week will show if any truth in this or not.

Foden's camp has made noise before about game time, so there might be something to this. But it's important to wait it out so that we're not making false accusations or anything.

On another note, I'm not sure we should be sticking the boot into Sterling as much as we are currently in this thread.
