Pretty sure all is well. Folk looking for issues that don't exist.

Yep, some people should be embarrassed but no doubt will still believe they're right despite all evidence to the contrary.

But he was always going to deny it.

The fact that he even needed to deny it actually tells alot

If its BS, then why not act like literally nothing happened rather than commenting on it, which then brings attention to the issue?

The last sentence from Pep here confirms that something did happen. We watch enough Pep interviews to know how he normally answers, what he usually says and what he usually doesn’t. Clearly something did happen.

I imagine raz felt being dropped he was being blamed for losing the derby and wanted to play to rectify it?

I'll be honest, i thought the last few days of this thread were utter mince, for probably 98% of it. The way i saw it, Pep was annoyed at a terrible refereeing decision, shortly after our incredible momentum had a bit of a stutter, on top of a built up underlying frustration at a pattern of inconsistency with VAR. Even going as far as suggesting they were consciously trying to make the PL 'more competitive', putting it politely.

That was it for me, the other analysis and assumption into his apparent tetchiness, timed with online rumourmongering, was to me, being perfectly honest, just total dogshit.

Now, reading his responses and comments, i do believe there probably Was something there. Maybe not as big as is made out, maybe even not enough to affect his mood and make him any more 'tetchy' than the refereeing on its own would have done. But the way he responded, to a question that for once wasnt That obviously loaded, using the word complain and deflecting to two players that haven't featured in months, makes me think something Was said.

He will handle it, of course i know he will.

But I think a situation has now been created, between the rumours, his response, and sterling's tweet, where he can't Not start tomorrow. It would almost validate and feed the narrative that there is a rift between player and manager if he is left out, and the assumptions and questions would keep coming, and any rumour no matter how far fetched would be taken more seriously than otherwise.

The internationals coming up as well, and all the boredom gossip that brings!

Hopefully, he scores a hattrick, and both say a little rest was all that was needed.

I believe him too, tbf. That Reddit post was nonsense.
Arguments and fall outs happen in dressing rooms up and down the country (the world in fact). Whether it’s Sunday League or Premier League, it’s going to happen. It’s how you deal with those disagreements that sets the team apart.

If you allow it to stew into something that overpowers the harmony of the squad, then you’re going to have issues.

If you shake hands and put it to the side, then it’s just part of the standard occurrences of a competitive team.

As someone has pointed out, the media would have been egging this on looking for a leak to open the floodgates. That hasn’t happened (so far) which says a lot about the mentality of this squad.

Concerned? Not at all. They’re adults, they’ll deal with it and lift another set of trophies come May.

One game of being banished to the stands and I’d expect it’s now considered dealt with. I think Raz will start tomorrow.

I hope Pep picks the best team to do the job

Youngish lads, at their highest emotional state, constantly pushed to the point of max adrenaline in a high pressure environment where even the slightest drop in performance can lead to the end of them?

I’d be surprised if they weren’t fighting!

I agree. I think worst case scenario for Raz is that his punishment is extended to the weekend and he sits out tomorrow too. I'm both surprised and not surprised at the speed at which this rumour grew an extra set of legs and an extra head over the weekend!

I still think Pep has been firing shots at the squad as a whole in his post and pre match press conferences. It's money time in all competitions so I imagine he's refocussing minds.

Yes, we forget that these guys are high competitive playing competitive sport at the very highest level. It's crazy to imagine there aren't arguments, fall outs, and other forms of 'creative tension'.
