I get the they need to understand it, but deep down they need that anger to push them to be the best in that position to prove that when the big games come up they aren’t the ones left out. We here so much about players needing a rest and of course they do but speak to any player and they want to play each and every game. It’s Peps job to keep them at their peak performance level and there is nothing wrong with someone throwing their toys out of the pram if they don’t get picked, I wouldn’t want a single player saying it’s alright I might play next week.

Maybe Raz wasn't happy with Pep and punished him by taking a day off for Fulham,
willing to return for Gladbach if Pep is ready for an apology
and a belated birthday cake.
Much ado about nothing.

I know, but to immediately give it him on being reinstated in the team, after an alleged misdemeanour/altercatoion,would be a big gesture.
Firstly its alleged
Secondly and more important if anything happened its kept behind closed doors and dealt with, punishment is served to the manager's satisfaction, and not make public by taking captain duty away

Pep Guardiola on Raheem Sterling responding to rumours: "He doesn't need to. Nothing happened. He was not selected, that's all. Sometimes during the season, for example when we travelled to Stamford bridge, we had 14 first team players and then it's easy to make the selection

Pep Guardiola: "Everybody is happy. When you have 20 top class players who have had incredible success, it will always be unfair on them. That is the point. I now have 20 players, I trust them, I love them, they are the main reason why we are in the position where we are

Sounds like Sterling is so so happy.

Yes, and no. Anyone want to hazard a guess how Liverpool can go from winning the League by a country mile to struggling to win a game at the moment? I’m going to suggest it’s because their players are physically and mentally fucked. They’ve played the same high intensity, high energy game week in and week out for three seasons now, and I’m sure the players were delighted that the manager never really felt the need to upset them by requiring them to take a breather. Now their legs feel like Lead and Klopp looks like a helpless halfwit on the sidelines because there’s literally nothing he can do to help them. Pep has sussed this and is working proactively to guard against this happening to us. The players need to understand this and be supportive of the manager’s attempts to deliver something special this season.

I actually think pep changed the way we play knowing we didn't and don't get a break, whatever happens between now and the end of the season we can all acknowledge that pep has rotated perfectly, we seem to be in great shape, fully fit squad with 16 games hopefully to go, well done pep and all those behind the scenes
