You could argue that this is not even the strongest squad we have had in the last decade. We don't really have any Galacticos. No one was raving about Rodri, Gundo, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Ederson, Zin, KDB, Sterling, Laporte, Jesus, Bernardo, when we bought them. In fact the media mocked us.
But Pep has moulded them into a proper team. Every single one of these players has been pushed to the limits of their ability. He has got more out of them than any other manager could have done. Our players are nowhere near as good individually as those in Pep's great Barca and Bayern squads. But Pep has built them into potentially his best team.

That’s what this squad has which even the most recent great city teams didn’t: any player can be absent without a drop off in overall quality. Previously if Silva, yaya, Sergio or Vinny were off we weren’t the same team. Now even our best player, KDB , isn’t a massive loss.

Sometimes this sort of thing is exactly what a player needs. I know that I’m the sort of person, that, if I were a footballist, I’d want my manager to be really critical and harsh with me, even scolding, and push me all the time.

I know I’d react well to that. Hopefully Raheem does!

I thought the changes at Fulham were because Pep was resting the main men for the CL this week. This thread has me doubting that theory. Hope I'm right because the only thing that could derail our season is player disruption behind the scenes.
