He took a gamble. If it had paid off we’d all be calling him a genius. Fact is that that team should have been good enough to win.

Only thing I will criticise him for is not bringing on Mahrez, Bernardo and Zinchenko. Complains about not having 5 subs in the PL and then when he does he still doesn’t make more than 2 subs. When we are 1-0 up in a tight game I get it but when we are losing and have better options on the bench then I don’t get why he doesn’t use them.

No that team was nowhere near good enough to even trouble Chelsea. Torres, Sterling and Jesus struggled against 10 man Leeds what do think was gonna happen against a Chelsea side that has been so solid defensively ? he was asking for trouble, and taking a gamble against Leeds in the league was understandable, but against Chelsea in a semi final ? come on.

As for the subs this is nothing new, Pep has never been a manager who changes games from the bench and he never will be, he'd rather watch Sterling do fuck all for 90 minutes, that's one of Pep's weaknesses and we have to live with it.
