Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

Players got into good enough positions, just lacked quality at the crucial moment. Guess you could say that's down to recruitment. Think the team he picked actually worked quite well to pin back their wing backs and limit them to a couple of chances throughout the entire game. Even putting aside the penalty, we should have scored at least one.

Won't be going anywhere and rightly so.

Been massively let down by the board with their signings and squad planning.

The fact he is talking to Wirtz and Reijnders tells you he will be here next season.
lol at let down

People think he gets players without his approval

All players are vetoed by him,he can throw as much as money he wants his shit tactics won’t take him anywhere.

Buying cannot be way out for every problem especially when he refused to play them regularly

Doesn’t today just highlight that certain players are punished for being below par but others can’t be touched. Foden dropped, Grealish dropped, Khusanov dropped, Nunes dropped. Yet Akanji plays, Silva plays, KDB plays, Ortega plays.

I’m not saying that those dropped haven’t been poor at times, but some of those picked have been as bad if not worse for periods.

I feel so much for Grealish and Foden. Both punished for being versatile.

Grealish has been nothing short of exceptional whenever he’s been given a run in the middle - but only played there twice.

Foden the sort of fucking pure talent you build your team around. Yet fucking Pep in his infant wisdom is making him fit in his wank system (same with Haaland)

Huge now going into next season. If it doesnt change in our style of play then we could see it play out like it has this season.

If it doesnt change say within 10 games - who moves first? Pep or the club?

Would the club actually take that step - i aint so sure.

Pep true test is right now going into next season
Sentiment toward players who can no longer do it for us is part of the reason we're in this mess.
I'd hope the club have learned lessons from this and would be strong in whichever way they go with Pep too, no single person is bigger than the club.

If they decide to back him, then properly back him and give him what they did in 2017/18 with 4/5 top level signings.

If they decide its time for us to part with him then don't waste time fucking about.

The problem is it all now hinges on if we get CL or not. In my own opinion, if we don't, then it'd be time to part ways, just like it would for any other manager.

I would keep him for another season but his tactics need a complete transformation. We’ve been so dull to watch this season.
Not going to happen as we are crying out for pace and energy and he bought another slow midfielder for 60 million in January who can’t even get a game.
Personally think he is done as has no answers as we have seen this season. If he does continue i think he needs a new, strong number 2

A lot on here sound like United fans in the early 00s when United went crap after their treble had a few years of buying duds and wanting Ferguson out.

Be careful what you wish for.

Doesn’t make you look any more of a city fan for admitting Pep’s made some errors ffs. “Get him Wirtz and he’ll show what a manager he is” what a stupid fucking argument, it was his choice not to buy in the summer. Was it not having Wirtz that makes him make subs so late on?

Nope he should be doing far better that what were seeing this season. the club blew £160m in January to help him out.
Hardly been a success !

£160m where nearly £60m was for 2 CBs that are for the future and not for now.

Those signings are on the board if anything.

Marmoush is a success..only Nico G has question marks

How would you describe what we are watching this season?
Average with many reasons anyone that would throw out probably the greatest manager of this generation is in my opinion a fucking idiot throwing out the baby with the bath water. For some it’s a bit knee jerk and they’ll come around
Me can’t wait for next season when he proves you all wrong like always does and will.
Some have always had it in for him , be happy when they disappear again.
Whine all you like he’s going nowhere

Careful now, you’ll get called a fanboy for pointing that out.

If we're signing players without them being sanctioned by Pep then we are being run even worse than any of us thought transfer wise.

Ludicrous to say he's been let down when there was £120m of players on the bench today signed in January alone.

It‘s one bad season. Move on.

If we start the new one with Ruben and Joško passing around, let’s talk then

Yes Pep obviously has his favourites.

He should go at the end of the season, or perhaps use the CWC as a swan song.

All good things come to an end and I’m afraid we’re no exception.

Not much different to his first season in charge and the current one. Both had with a mixture of aging players and lacking that extra spark. The following season after that first one we became Centurions.
We ain’t winning nothing next season because we are so far off the top it’s astounding . This is a massive rebuild from virtually every position because that today from players to the manager apart from doku was shit . Fucking criminal not starting a def mid and playing dads army in midfield and still giving playing to gundo .

Listening to his conference, it's pathetic

The man thinks we are unlucky

Chances chances chances

What fucking game was he watching zit was terrible
