Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Wouldn’t it be great if Pep changed his mind last min and extended again?

Khaldoon is probably preoccupied with the Middle East Abu Dhabi problems to give pep the ahhh one more year speech.

I’m actually glad @Ric has posted the information as it gives us all time to digest before it breaks mainstream. Rather have the info from a blue as apposed to laughing rags or dips predicting our downfall.
Changed his mind from what though? As far as I am aware Pep has not once said he’s not staying next season, it’s just rumour after rumour from the shite media who are desperate for him to go and leave their beloved red clubs in peace?

Why would Pep staying at City be something newsworthy? They want him to go so desperately they run the same type of story year on year it's a bit embarrassing for them.
To be fair it a big debate in here because we don't know,no surprise the whole football world is interested and trying to work out what Pep will be doing.

Maybe. It all seemed to snowball this season from the media. Constantly asking him over and over again as if they knew the answer but he would not confirm? I don’t know his quotes don’t seem like a person leaving but this is pep. He doesn’t play straight with the media at all -:)

Various rumors stem solely from the fact that, by their very nature, the club and Pep - and consequently journalists and a large section of the fanbase - reject a simple explanation. Pep wants to stay for another season. But he will probably leave if we are found guilty by the Premier League. The club is therefore preparing a Plan B. Thats it.

It may even be a deliberate strategy to some degree by City. Pep is a superstar for the Premier League. Stirring up rumors about his departure - implicitly linked to the possibility of City being punished - could, for example, cause sponsors to start protesting and putting pressure on the Premier League to reach an agreement, because otherwise sponsors would pay the PL significantly less for a Premier League without Pep, and possibly also without Haaland, etc.

I don’t think Pep would be okay to be involved in something like that or that commercially the premier league would suffer so much in such a situation.
He does not need to be involved. The club is creating appearances thats the real possibility.

So you are wrong. To have Pep, Haaland, a team that is one of the best and competitve in the world is a massive thing for PL and especially for TV etc

I love the man but he must’ve surely seen we were getting sloppy before they got the equalizer. He had to make a change then ffs.

Still, I wouldn’t want anyone ala Maresca to take his place next season.

This is the first full season with a rebuild - if we get a couple midfielders we can piss it next year

I might get thread banned again but I don't care, I've said it before, every single time you think we're done with that slow aimless passing style where we're just begging to get countered it comes back one way or another, that second half was a disgrace and it looks to me like that Doku goal right before half time was a terrible thing because it led to that slow crap coming back, and of course the less said about his late subs the better.
We could've put 3 on them in the first 20 minutes. Pep's job is to get them to the final third, but it's on the players to put the ball in the net.

Not his fault the players started to shit themselves.

True but having a good 20 minutes isn't enough, it's on the manager to react after that and he didn't.
