The press were absolutely beside themselves when he announced he wanted the Premier league challenge. Remember the spreads? What he would do at the rags, dippers, Chelsea, Arsenal even Spurs, how he would change each player and how they’d adapt? If he’d achieved the same levels and trophy wins at any of them he’d be arselicked every minute of every day as would his players. There’s be no questions about bungs or sport washing, the league being uncompetitive in fact the only narrative would be that they’re the best team on the planet and they’re one of ours.

Tbf he had his own obvious doubts about staying and how this season would turn out. Extending his contract was the day our season changed, albeit we were still rotten for a couple of game afterwards. He, his staff and the players were re-energised

This is one of the reasons I always laugh to myself when I hear blues slagging off Oasis and the Gallaghers getting tickets for big games.
The players and management love them and are probably Buzzing to meet them.
I've no problems with that whatsoever. Get yourselves out there and become rock and roll stars and then you might get invited along.
