Westerners mock those white dresses that people in the Middle East wear but I’ve just realised that they’re actually worn for a very good reason. While the rest of your body is battling the 120 degree heat, wearing that dress must be like having your balls in a fridge.

I spent a couple of years in that part of the world and yes indeed, those dresses (thobes) make perfect sense for the climate. You walk around in one and whip up a nice cool breeze for your 'nads. I had only put one on for a lark when I found out. Also, loose boxers underneath; tiny-whities just don't work there. ;)

Having tried the 'white dress', a kilt and my balls in a fridge, I can assure you the latter is nothing like the other two :O
