I would go for anyone, we need another body but it doesn't look likely unfortunately.
I'm not doing much at the moment.

The opportunity obviously isn't there, unless you've been told that one of our targets is up for sale next month? We're not going to buy just for the sake of it
Unfortunately typical City will never die.Why do we keep making this mistake? Once is understandable, but given how organised and well planned everything is at the club, and the calibre of those running the club, to fail three times to fully strengthen is ridiculous. We should have had another central midfielder lined up in case Jorginho didn't come, particularly as it's obvious we can't expect Fern to play about 60 games a season. Either that or pay whatever it took to make sure Jorginho didn't follow his old manager to Chelsea.

Madness.
Why try to sign in Summer and then not even try when the opportunity (and motive) is there for us to buy in January?
We desperately need another body in midfield.
Unless we have some financial restrictions that we as fans don’t know about, to not even try to strengthen when the need is so abundantly clear, is very disappointing and dare I say arrogant. In the sense that we are assuming that in summer our ‘primary’ targets will just agree to sign. We’ve had our fingers burnt before both by that assumption and by not strengthening sufficiently following a title win. I think we’ve underestimated the need to replace Yaya, and the Mendy transfer has been a disaster due to his inability to stay fit. It’s like having Santa Cruz for lb. Mahrez has underwhelmed as well and was never imo going to be better than Sterling or sane. Come on Pep have a word, you must be hurting as much as we are seeing those scouse twats threatening to out do everything achieved last season.
If no one is coming in why not give Sandler a chance? I remember when we signed him people suggested he could play DM.
No its not (imo) short termism is not what our club is aboutBut surely a more appropriate player is available to buy or on loan that what we have available? A short term fix is better than playing people out of position. It feels like the Bravo saga again..

Cant say Pep's first season was a success and we were lucky Fern didn't need a backup last season.Back to your post again - I find this "never replaced Yaya" line quite fascinating, considering he was poor for the last couple of seasons and we did just fine with him picking splinters out of his arse.
