So poor quality makes it the best league? So if you have a bunch of average sides that's what makes it great? Cmon

It's great to watch a league where you have no clue what happens but that doesn't mean it's a great league. It's just a competitive one

No, sides who are fucking competitive, make the best league. Having 20 teams who all play pretty much the same way with differing levels of success, but 3 who do it ten times better, is not a good league, it's too easy for the top teams & their defenders who only have to answer the same questions every week in order to arrive at the same answer.

That is my whole point, which was about how poor quality defendrrs can get away with murder in an 'uncompetitive' league. The teams are usually so much on top that their defenders are mainly like deep midfield players, under little pressure defensively & just passing the ball around.

When their team cones up against an equal or a well organised side designed to beat them, sonetimes their defenders are fucking awful, as we have seen numerous times with Bayern & Barca in recent years.

The Premier League is far more demanding of defenders & players in general, & throws up far more problems on a weekly basis than the others.

And whatsmore, pretty much every single player or manager who has worked in the Prem & other leagues, will tell you that.

Things would be no different at all if the big 3 Spanish teams were in the premier league. The league table would look exactly the same with those 3 out in front by some distance.

The premier league is only so competitive due to not having any great teams in it. I get playing styles are different in different leagues but having bang average teams who have no shot in Europe does not make it a great league.

Until we get teams who can compete on a regular basics in Europe it simply isn't a great league at all. Obviously you think otherwise and that's up to you but for me? I would much rather watch great football than tight games all the time with average football.

Man united vs Liverpool game in the league. One shot on target all game won United the game...seriously why would people want to watch that between two of the bigger known teams in the league. Not the only game either...

With better players should come better quality and maybe that happens with the new TV deal.

So basically you are telling me nobody is interested in a game between Utd & Liverpool ?
Ok.

Back to reality, if would look the same here with teams such as Barca etc, until the league sussed them out, then they would be competing with the rest of the top sides, just like us, & the difference wiuld be transfers & who had the best managers.. Atletico & Real would be found out quite quickly, & struggle to rebuild to the same level, Barca would be ground down over a few years & finally reeled in when Messi got a bit older. At the same time, City, Utd & Chelsea would be bidding for all the players they tried to sign & people would he treading on Neymar's ankles & winding up Suarez to get him banned as aell as hitting Mascherano with high balls & running in behind Piquet.

It's a muggers alley & the most interesting thing will be to see how Pep adapts his style to suit it. Which he will. No way will he just copy Barca exactly as he'll know it won't work over time in this league, because it's not the same.

Sussed them out? Haha right ok

You don't just suss a team out when their quality is so much higher than who they are playing. Not sure why you think their big players don't get hit hard. messi, Neymar, Suarez get hit a lot as it is. They get hammered a lot and they just are used to it by now and get on with it. Those kind of plays would do nothing than get more guys sent off than they do over there where punishment is a lot less than it is here.

Top players want to sign with barca/real not just because of money but because they are two of the largest teams in the world with a great lifestyle, success and place to live. That would never change.

Pep's style depends on what players he has. He can only play a certain style with the right players. He will need the players that fit his system.

He for one gets angry when the keeper smashes it up field and loves to play from the back. His system will not work without the right players for his system.

I've missed very few games involving the top teams & therefore know for a fact that they rarely come in for the kind of tactics or treatment I'm talking about & are largely overprotected by referees boderinv on corruption at times.

Pep played 2nd half v Juve not dissimilar to how Ferguson would have done. No 'Barca' whatsoever. Crosses, diagonals, headers.

I'm interested how pep will change things as his style had to change slightly at Bayern compared to Barca. It will have to change here too and certainly until he gets the team he wants player wise

nope that just means that we are shit

if real madrid get a hold of Norwich it would be 10-0

Today probably yes. And sometimes it is like that when Norwich play City, yet last week, it wasn't. After a few sessons of having teams park the bus & kick the shit out of them, & a few injuries, a bit of pressure, & non favourable refs, iffy manager takes over, confidence drops a bit: 0-0.

That's the Prem. It requires a different kind of ability, to stay at/near the top. Purely having a core of quality footballers is not enough.
