Pepe would be a class addition. I reckon if MP can tame him and keep him in check he'd be perfect back up for Vinny.

Forgetting his off days when he's stamping or kicking he is one of the best in the world.

Maybe but not when nastasic is healthy, but wouldn't be surprised if MP is going after him as a possible starter just to reassure the back line

They don't have a set starting 11 yet, same as us, pepe was injured and Jose is a giant d*ck as we all know, and also they have to keep varane growing. No matter what some of you think pepe is a quality defender

Surely that's exactly the same as what we need to do with Nastasic, no?

I think we need better depth at CB than Boyata (as well as he played against Bayern) but that should be a younger player, like Nastasic, who would initially be happy as a back-up to Kompany.

I think Boyata will play a few this season too. Looked half decent after getting over the nerves.

We need him for his Champions League experience if nothing else. Nastasic is going to be one of the best defenders in the world but we cannot burn him out. If we do get someone in like Pepe, Nasty will still get plenty of game time in this season with possibly 70 games to play. He can only get better learning off Vinny and Pepe but let's take our time with him, we don't want him suffering from over playing.
