Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

experience has shown Pep is nomadic
We get it, you post it in nearly every post, but its only your opinion.

He's moved on twice in his managerial career so far, that's hardly "nomadic", his family will be first on his list of important things right now, and what he decides to do will rotate around them, he's not going anywhere soon, as hes' he's opening a restaurant here with Txiki and Ferran this summer.

Has no one has ever opened up a business in a city they neither live nor work in, day to day? Silly argument

An alternative view of the data is that he's moved on from every managerial job he's ever had.

We all hope he stays, but we need clarity, if he's not staying, we need to know as soon as possible, so we can plan for season 2019-20 and beyond.

There was an article on the BBC news website this week by Guillem Balague - Pep Guardiola: The Man City manager described as football’s Che Guevara.

I don’t know how to post the link but it’s a very good read and gives some insight into Pep’s upbringing and his outlook on life.

If you read the article referred to above, it says Pep left Barca because he felt guilty because he missed something to do with his daughter because of his obsession with football - hence he took a years sabbatical.

IMHO he went to Germany as a step towards his eventual move to the EPL; the Bundesliga are closer to our style of football.

IIRC, someone posted earlier in this thread that they were looking at local colleges for his daughter (Aquinas in Stockport was mentioned); if that is the case, then it is possible he will stay for 2 years to accommodate her A levels - here's hoping!

At City he's not involved in any club politics. All he has to do is look after the football side of things
He has a young squad
He's building a football legacy, similar to the one Cruyff built at Barcelona
His family is young and need to settle somewhere for their education
He will want to tear up the Premier League at least two more times to say a big "fuck you, you small minded, little England ****s"
We have some great golf courses
He likes barms and sherbet fountains
