Then learn to be patient.Did you honestly think we`d be fighting for the PL this season. Before we kicked a ball the optimism was there, but in reality once we past those 10 games,it became obvious that we still needed to improve in certain areas. This is a long term project not a fucking 12 month plan, just learn to be patient.Cheers guys. My view is different to yours so I'm wrong, I get it. You just missed the rag tag for the final nail.
I don't post a lot on team/management topics because they are heated but I feel so disappointed and underwhelmed by what has happened this season so far. I've learnt my lesson.
More time for what?So he has realised he is going to need more time?
At no point have I ever suggested that we sack him now; if he's not capable of doing the job the end of the season is the correct time to reassess.
I'm not negative. You'll obviously need to have the last word here, so can I suggest you post 'You are negative' for your next contribution.
I think I've only ever posted once in a post match thread. Getting home from a match and posting 'Yesss!', 'Get in!' or some such crap doesn't seem like a good use of my time.
Not talking about a divine right to win the league, just saying we've underachieved so far.
And whatever happens I'll be there home and away making a noise, which is all any fan can do.
Like our owners, for example.
At the start of the season the bookmakers expected us to win the league because we have the best squad and the best manager.
We should win the league. That's not unrealistic.
For me it's results that matter.
If Pep fails to deliver results he can fuck off.
The whole world is discussing Pep, because he's making such a mess of things at the moment.
I wish him well, but he doesn't seem to be happy at the moment and he certainly isn't doing a good job.
Blind positivity, away from the heat of a game, in the face of all the evidence, is a sign of stupidity.
Feel free to have the last word, I won't be posting again on this subject on this thread.
That means adapting to your strengths in the first season when maybe you haven't got the players you want in. A bit like Conti at the chavs. There is a great post in the post match thread illustrating what our problem is at the moment:
Everton v City post match
Hope I got it right with the link to it. We are really, really close to something good, but as you can read there very small mistakes make the difference. Playing Pep-football is really, really difficult.
The club clearly disagrees.
OK. You are negative.
Oh dear:
Arsenal post match thread
Sounds pretty negative after a game we came from behind to win.
You also posted in the Liverpool, Leicester, Barcelona post match threads, all of them negative. Does someone else have access to your account?
And?
I suppose, as a Blue, you feel it's proper to jump on the pile too, right?
"I wish him well, but he stinks and I hope he wants away because I'm thinking about replacing him with Simeone at the end of the season"
Evidence? What evidence?
You've given me half a fucking season, nothing more. Meanwhile, you've ignored everything from arguments about the squad (aging, declining in overall performance), to length of time it takes to adapt to Pep's style (minimum a year to be expected), to his accomplishments in the past. Who is the one being blind here?
Thank God.
Has he ever said it would ? People jump to conclusions as he rarely stays at a club for longer than a three year stint.I remember listening to him in one of his interviews saying that he may like to stay at City for a longer period. If he thinks it will take longer than three years then lets get behind the guy. He`s probably forgotten things in football, that me and you still don`t understand. As soon as he started to bring in all these young players in and loan them out, then I was certain he wouldn`t be here for just three years, but he probably wants to see them flouish as one team.Bit strange. Is this him admitting he can't get the job done in 3 years?
Why does it matter if he thinks he needs more time, as long as we get to where he wants us. I think he was always going to stay more than 3 years, so if it's settled sooner all the better. So he has realised he is going to need more time?
What would be strange about that, just honest we can all see, the whole back line a centre midfield needs upgrading before he can even start playing the way he wants to play. It would be more surprising if he couldn't.Bit strange. Is this him admitting he can't get the job done in 3 years?
