Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Pep leaving is going to be difficult to accept, leaving for international football will be even harder.

No way he doesn’t take a sabbatical in my opinion, if he decides to leave city
I have faith in what Tolmie posted the other day
Coaching an international team for 1 year would essentially be a sabbatical for Pep. He could be back to a normal club job after the WC

Pep will do 10 years.
5 in a row.
Champions League.
Club World Cup.
Football completed.

Then big decisions to be made. Hopefully he stays on longer as manager or at the very least in a major position within CFG. That’s the hope.

If Pep opts for another club side he will struggle to find a set up that is like Man City. Pep did not like the politics at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. He gets none of that at City. Plus he has a brilliant team around him. He's still got a lot to offer and I'd hope he doesn't waste his talents in a national job. He'd be bored stiff waiting for the next international game and not being able to be close to his players on a regular basis. He should stay at City. Come on Pep, get your Bic biro out.

Tbh it's quite believable, why wouldn't they not want pep?

Firstly, from their point of view, I am sure he is not their style. He isn't a corporate yes man. He won't pick someone he doesn't want to and he will drag off anyone who isn't performing no matter whose blue-eyed boy he is.
Secondly, from his point of view I am sure he knows he can't expect half that team to learn to play his way in eight weeks a year. There are other international teams better suited to his style.
Thirdly, they are willing to appoint a caretaker for a year in the hope of getting him? Really?
Lastly, when he is finished at City, whenever that is, he will be taking a well-deserved break, imho.

All imho, of course, but yes you may be right. They may think they want him. but if they think about it properly, there are managers much more suited to England than Guardiola.

Surely Harry Potter fits the bill

If he gets the job Pickford will be bricking it for sure.

Can you imagine the usual media wankers who have spent years trying to belittle and trip him up having to fawn all over him coz he’s become the Engerland mgr.
It’ll be fucking nauseating watching them turn full 360 and lick his arse. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen
