Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Get fat Sam in.

'Its a simple tactic lads. Cross the ball onto that lanky viking bastards head.'
When you look at fat Sam's Bolton he had a lot of class players playing good stuff. I think he was a good manager who could organise a team around their strengths. Moyes being another

Another way of looking at it is managing internationally will also give him a lot more time to himself and family instead of the ins and outs of Weekly club football, it'll be a lot more part time for him managing England or any other club internationally he's also stated that he wants to manage internationally at some point, let's hope it isn't any time soon.
He has said he fancied a World Cup...but i think Argentina is the one fir him. He likes their ruthless winning attitude

Can you imagine the usual media wankers who have spent years trying to belittle and trip him up having to fawn all over him coz he’s become the Engerland mgr.
Nah, they'll just sharpen the knives for when he fails and with great delight.

If it takes a year at a new club to get his ideas into the players' heads, how long would it take to make England players come into line when he would have them for a week or two at a time and then they'd go back to their clubs and thump the ball long again etc.

Agreed he’d be fucked over by the media as being unable to deliver after being given a crop of Englands “finest” ever talent to manage
Having said that I actually think he’d probably deliver but I’d say stay away go and pick a job with Argentina, Brazil or Spain / Portugal and continue to fuck over our media by taking a soft scalp every time you come across our nations elite

Brilliant article. Another ex player who maybe one day will find their way back.
I thought there was a good chance he was coming back under Pep, sure I'd read an article saying he was doing some work for City but staying in Barcelona and then all of a sudden he was an Assitant Manager.

There won't be many people wouldn't want to see this legend return here at some point, his work ethic and love for City shone through.

He would have been perfect for a top YA role, he is just what you want programming into all the youth players.

Guardiola to do another season at City with Kompany and Zabaleta as assistants ready to take over.

Can't see Kompany leaving Munich after one year.
Why would he do that?
and why do you think he would be good enough 12 months after getting relegated with Burnley?

Firstly, from their point of view, I am sure he is not their style. He isn't a corporate yes man. He won't pick someone he doesn't want to and he will drag off anyone who isn't performing no matter whose blue-eyed boy he is.
Secondly, from his point of view I am sure he knows he can't expect half that team to learn to play his way in eight weeks a year. There are other international teams better suited to his style.
Thirdly, they are willing to appoint a caretaker for a year in the hope of getting him? Really?
Lastly, when he is finished at City, whenever that is, he will be taking a well-deserved break, imho.

All imho, of course, but yes you may be right. They may think they want him. but if they think about it properly, there are managers much more suited to England than Guardiola.
He will also pick City players and play them in their correct positions which will not go down well among powers that be
