Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

If he’s not giving up, then he needs to develop a system that can deal with counter attacks. 2 at the back isn’t working, and every other club can see it isn’t and know how to exploit it.

Tough run, ride it out. Agree it's been coming but seriously come on.

If anything, longer term I think the last week will be beneficial cos more chance Pep stays.

Agree Pep isn't immune to criticism and gets the odd thing wrong but crikey we have everyone outside City talking absolute horse muck, we dont need it from within.

2/3 year deal incoming.
 
I don’t blame pep. The recruitment in the midfield has been poor last few years and we have relied on the same world class players for years. These players have started declining/have ran themselves into ground. we are left with poor players in their places and as a result pep is flogging the older players further.

We need at least 2 new cm options who are world class in the summer. The club have to stop penny pinching and obsessing over net spend. We need a new rb, 2 cms and a back up striker st a minimum

I suppose while we keep winning they don’t feel the need to spend, things change very quickly and January salvation seems a long long way away

No way he would be talking like this if he was leaving. I’m hoping he signs for at least 2 seasons not just for next season as many suggest.
We need to calm down a little and add some perspective. No team can sustain the injuries we’ve had this season and still dominate. Pep will turn it around. We may not win the league this year (I’m not writing us off yet) but we will bounce back, for sure.
Appreciate our unprecedented greatness over the Pep years and know there will be more to come if he stays with us. You can bank on it.

Club needs a pick me up. A boost in the arm or whatever. Announce his extension soon. Need that dopamine hit.

He the club need him to sign a contract like he did when he first come! A 3 year contract and treat it as a transition a new build of our club! This season reminds me of when he first come an aging established players on the brink of leaving or selling them!

Needs to sign for 3 years and back him with spending 300m on top quality players!!

Pep might be tired or incapable of staying 12 consecutive years at the same club. He himself might not know whether he can continue and for how long, whether the players are willing to fight for him, etc. Those blaming Pep are being stupid and self-entitled.

Anyway, our problems have little to do with his contract situation and everything to do with us fighting for multiple trophies for many years now, having aging players, and also injuries to key players. Nothing too difficult to grasp.

Yes we need a rebuild players let go or sold its up to pep if he is up for that and listening to him last night he seems up for it! One thing though he needs to stop relying on his favourite players and maybe a couple them be gone in the summer!

One thing though who would you want for a rebuild Pep or someone totally new? Who would you put your money on to do the rebuild then keep winning? I know who I'm backing and it's Pep!
