Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

The media would say the great egg head Slut chased him out of the league
Whatever he is doing he needs to do it.

If he is staying great, if not , it's time to tell the world, the constant speculation is doing nobody any favors.

All the indicators say he is going to extend, so why is he and more importantly the club waiting to announce it?

I'm Pep's biggest fan. Don't think he's always right and think he can rely more on young players, Lewis, Savinho, Doku, Nunes, McAtee... But even for Pep it might be impossible to win big titles every year. You can't plan for injuries, and the mental state of the team is hard to know in advance. Pep's the best but not a magician. Even if we struggle to make the top 4, unlikely but not impossible, our fans should show respect to Pep and the players for what they have achieved.

It be top five for champs league this season! Just listen to his press conference after the game last night he was 100% right in what he said we played well the players believed they played well and could of been 2/3 up first half and we just lost our composure emotions after they scored to make it 2-1..

He announced his extension end of November last time he will this time either way

We all have lost composure and emotions

Completely hence why this next two weeks are going to be a big moment in our history.

I still say we need a rebuild and a substantial one, one that will take longer than one season.

The speculation only exists here on Bluemoon mate.

Haaland didn't miss his penalty because he was speculatung Pep's next move, Foden didn't miss chances he buried last year because he was speculating Pep's future and Rodri didn't get injured speculating either.

You have to assume he hasn't committed to extending as surely that would have been announced. That leaves the club in an extremely difficult situation. How can they approach potential replacements on this basis? 'We don't know yet but if Pep Guardiola decides to leave would you be interested in taking over' doesn't strike me as a great pitch to a top level manager.

So the people asking in the pre match pressers are bluemoon operatives?

Yeah. I’m sure that’s how the club are dealing with the matter. After all, they’re not known for being an efficiently run club

It will take longer than two seasons as well btw.

No matter how well we are run if the club genuinely doesn't know at this stage if he's staying or going then that impacts how potential replacements can be approached.

Some have speculated that he will wait for the outcome of the 115 case and that is even madder as it could easily be March / April before that is released.

My feeling is the club does know and he's going

Whilst them individual things did not happen because of peps contract. In general and on a broader scale it will absolutely be on the minds of the players, if that impacts on the pitch or not who knows but this season we have largely been poor despite the points total. You cannot say our manager of the last 9 years potentially leaving isn't impacting on some players. Equally you cannot say it is but to dismiss it is wrong. Put it this way, there is also no benefit to dragging it out, signing in November in the past doesn't mean it is the right way to do things.

We lost an FA Cup final based on manager speculation, against a team that got relegated that season. Lets not disregard the power of media speculation.
