Brilliant news, not bothered what the media or red cartel have to say, just need a win tomorrow now to get on track.
It isn't negative, it is putting a scenario out there. It was widely reported it was only a year, if he was planning to leave at the end of next season then it puts to bed all this nonsense we have had being in the last year of his contract. Judging by his comments he was very close to calling it quits this year. He may feel it is easier next year without all of the noise surrounding his future with him signing for 2 years. We all hope that isn't the case, as blues we are wired to fear the worst no? A rebuild this summer, a successful season next year where he can fly off into the sunset after a nice round 10 years and us on top.Only on here could any kind of negative be conjured up in Pep signing on for two more years.
Simon Stone is a fucking embarrassment.simon stone reports the news by saying...
"As a manager, Guardiola will forever be entwined with that great Barcelona side including Lionel Messi that won two Champions Leagues in three seasons and has gone down as one of the greatest of all time.
His achievements at City will not eclipse those."
Simon Stone is a fucking embarrassment.
Even children aren't that childish.
If you're reading this, Simon, please know it makes me so, so happy to see your fragile spirit implode in such an unbecoming manner.
When you consider Pep managed Barca for 4 years and Bayern 3 years it makes me think we are very fortunate to have him manage us for 11 years, maybe more. People said he won't last here, too cold too miserable and too rainy. I've never heard him once complain about the weather or Manchester. It seems he's more committed now than he's ever been which is so reassuring. He loves the club, the city and us and we're so grateful and delighted for the world's best manager to extend another 2 years. Tomorrow will be buzzing, can't wait.
Rags clutching at straws…Seems like they've took the news well over on the old Red Cafe.
This was taken from the thread ''Pep Guardiola sack watch" lol.
'The most logical reason behind pep signing a new deal is that he knows City are going to be rightfully relegated and he wants to prove he can achieve something with them that is actually their level, a playoff push in the championship perhaps.
Pep is no fool, he knows as well as the rest of us do that every single thing city have ever “won*” essentially doesn’t count because it was achieved through financial doping and cheating.'
