PES 2016

Starting a separate thread from the FIFA 16 thread. I've read a number of reviews over this side of the pond that believe this is the best football game ever made.

I've only played the demo and gameplay-wise it was incredible. The "feel" of the game is satisfied. Gonna buy the full game tomorrow (having cancelled my preorder of FIFA) and see just how good it is.

Anyone else considering switching?

I'm tempted, primarily cos they won't let me download the FIFA demo cos I dont have xbox gold live thing. Knobheads.

Aye I've ordered it. I mainly play offline anyway tbh so I've no idea why I've put up with FIFA as long as I have. I can't be arsed dealing with the people who play FIFA online, as 90% are utter bellends and even if I beat them I get no satisfaction from it, while the offline on FIFA seems almost intentionally shit in an attempt to force people to play UT. The new ML sounds absolutely fantastic tbh and the offline gameplay on PES is just so much more varied and rewarding. I will miss team building on UT, as I do like scheming, but I usually ended up spending all my time trading and making teams and then never actually playing any matches as I found the gameplay so annoying.

Last time I played PES it was called ISS Pro Evolution and we may well have been in Div 2. What are the online options on PES like? Do they have anything like online seasons?

Pro evo was always the number 1 footy game when i was younger. It seemed to lose its way and everyone moved over to Fifa. Would be good to see it return to the top as it seems Fifa have just gotten lazy.

They announced recently that they have opened up the PS4 to option file import. I'm still unsure as to how to get those files (which I presume are online) physically into my game. It was a lot easier in the PS2 days with a memory card that you just shoved into the console!

The master league sounds great, but the gameplay is exactly the same as previous years, just like Fifa.

Pretty sure you just use a USB, which is even easier than a memory card. Not 100% sure though as I'm on Xbox1 which is being deliberately awkward with PES, presumably because of their tie ins with FIFA and EA.
