Yes we all know we are shopping at Harrods nowadays.

But for me Peter Crouch would be a fabulous addition for us. He adds height, vast experience, heading ability, is technically gifted, is the right age, needs a good season (pre-World Cup) and doesn't appear to be a "moaner/hellraiser". What's not to like?

His WAG aint bad either.

He is better/different to what we have at the moment, and seems to fit into the 'model proffesional' type of player that Mark Hughes has been signing since he became manager. I wouldn't have a problem with it, though I think those raising negatives about Crouch are being influenced by all the talk of Eto'o and Tevez then comparing him to them. If Crouch comes the chances are it would be as a squad player, and to offer something different to our attack. Until he actually arrives everyone needs to chill out about criticising him, and if he signs, get behind him. The Future's bright, it's also Blue!

this this.

I would be pleased enough with it - people forget that we are probbly going to be replacing 4 strikers which means we need 4 more.

People are understandably worried that with him up front we will hoof the ball up there and take on a more route 1 style of play as opposed to beautiful football - but I don't see this happening as he would be a squad player and a sub to come on perhaps when the beautiful football is being frustrated and we need to change tactics to hoofing up some long balls.

I would rather suck the piss out a dying walrus than watch
him play at COMS every team he plays for change the style
of play to long ball in affect cutting out the midfield witch
is a present our strongest asset.
