A much better player than he was given credit for. Trouble is, when you are so tall, your team mates always aim for your head. But he could play on the ground too, as THAT goal shows.Everybody who knew him says he was one of the good guys, so happy retirement Peter.

Can't believe you got the title wrong. It should be "Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch retires." That's what the BBC wrote.

Pissed off how he used to score alot against us.

Apart from that I feel he should have got more England caps than he was given. A Likeable chap who would have scored more than the granny shagger if hed been given the same run. He'll either end up as a sky sports pundit or the next team captain in a league of their own.

I’ve listened to his podcasts and he comes across as a decent guy, good for a laugh

Always liked him. 22 in 42 (only 19 starts!) for England stands up to anyone.
His mum is a blue too, so that's a bonus.

Still wounded by that goal.I was there and I didn't like it.at all.
Damn good player ..decent on the deck for a tall front man...and should have won far more caps for England at the time...I think I hated all the club's he turned out for (except qpr) for one reason or another at the time...
But struggling to say owt bad about him as a player.Good career.
