I'm not sure he's anti-City, as such, just became a commentator around the time of Dipper/Rag dominance and can't move on.

I think it might be the other way round - their base is Utd/Liverpool, and they hire to meet that base.

No I agree, though. I reckon because Tyler became relevant around the time the dippers and rags dominated and because he is now surrounded by them to this day, he cannot let go of the past. Sky hire to meet their support base, yes, but if he was surrounded by a better mix of represented teams I think he'd be more enthusiastic to other teams.
