I broadly agree that it is usually pretty futile taking the media on, especially in a scattergun approach. However, if we win at CAS, a couple of tactical legal actions against the worst culprits would send out a warning which in the long-term would help our reputation. There has been a vicious smear campaign against our club and some individuals have overstepped the mark by making clearly defamatory comments (going much further than any of the UEFA or Der Spiegel allegations).It would be futile for the club to take the media on, if you start plugging holes you'll soon find yourself overwhelmed and sinking under the onslaught. I think our management team are fully aware how the game works and have accepted we are powerless against hatred, jealousy and spitefulness.
