Peter Drury replaces Martin Tyler on Sky Sports

It would be futile for the club to take the media on, if you start plugging holes you'll soon find yourself overwhelmed and sinking under the onslaught. I think our management team are fully aware how the game works and have accepted we are powerless against hatred, jealousy and spitefulness.
I broadly agree that it is usually pretty futile taking the media on, especially in a scattergun approach. However, if we win at CAS, a couple of tactical legal actions against the worst culprits would send out a warning which in the long-term would help our reputation. There has been a vicious smear campaign against our club and some individuals have overstepped the mark by making clearly defamatory comments (going much further than any of the UEFA or Der Spiegel allegations).

Tyler epitomises all that is wrong with Sly, he appears to be unable to distinguish between fact and opinion - that makes him a very stupid man.

I have no idea what his wages are, but I would think he is handsomely rewarded for being one of Murdoch's Marionettes. And he'll be in his job for the rest of his life as long as he and the others (we all know who they are) continue to dance to the puppet masters tune. As long as the fawning adulation of the two red clubs can continue in perpetuity, there will always be a place at the top table for yes-men like Tyler.

Face it, the game of football many of us grew up with is now waging a losing battle with the Dodo to see who can be more extinct.

Didnt take him long
