Shame, but death haunts us all.
Easy Rider was a brilliant film.
Easy Rider was a brilliant film.
Whilst obviously I'm sorry that he has died, I have mixed feelings about Peter Fonda.
He starred in one of my all time favourite films Easy Rider, which I have seen over sixty times, however the theme of the film was drug dealing, smoking pot featured heavily, which I think at the time (late sixties) influenced lots of young people into experimenting.
Also, I note he died of lung cancer, he was a heavy smoker, like Barry Sheene and George Harrison, you reap what you sow unfortunately.
I have his book "Don't tell Dad", (Henry Fonda), which is a good read.
The scene featuring Dennis Hopper and Phil Spector:-
Sorry if I come across as an old prude....
Would make good lyrics to a song....Well we wanna be free, we wannna be free to do what we wanna do. We wanna be free to ride. We wanna be free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man.
“And we wanna get loaded. And we wanna have a good time. And that’s what we’re gonna do.”
"We’re gonna have a good time. We’re gonna have a party!”
