Peter Skinner MEP (1999 -2014)

The old Black Adder lines spring to mind...

Blackadder: "Criminal record?"
Baldrick: "Absolutely not."
Blackadder: "Oh, come on, Baldrick, you're going to be an MP, for God's sake! Look, I'll just put "Fraud and sexual deviancy".

£100,000? More like just short of £500,000 he swindled.

Rightfully will sit in jail for a period of time.

They are all (majority) just looking after themselves whether they are tory, labour etc etc. Absolutely sick and tired of logging on Facebook and it being saturated with my labour supporting mates that dont even realise our local labour MP got done for her expenses, they jeep blindly thinking labour are saints but they are all as bad as each other in my opinion.

No the £500,000 was one of Urmston's UKIP mates.

A former MEP who fraudulently claimed almost £500,000 in European Parliament expenses has been jailed.

Ashley Mote, 79, was convicted of 12 charges relating to claims for payments to people he said were whistleblowers.

The offences included fraud, acquiring criminal property and false accounting.

Mote, who was elected on a UKIP ticket but sat as an independent MEP for South East England, was sentenced to five years at London's Southwark Crown Court.

It probably depends on whether they are socialist Labour or "new" (old) Labour.

When a drug dealer gets sent down you always hear that he will be subject to a 'Proceeds of Crime Hearing' and then be ordered to pay back x amount, they will seize his house and assets and anything else he has. When an MP or a wealthy individual gets done you ever seem to here them having to pay the money back.

Reported he will be subject to proceeds of crime.
