In my working career I`ve usually found union reps to be totally inept when it comes to doing the job in hand. Probably cos they`re too busy off skiving doing “Union Business” rather than concentrating on what they`re paid to do as a job.

Can City not request to never have him referee us again?

I'm sure U***** have been allowed to not have certain officials after complaining about bias/performance in the past.

Also, how can the same referee be permitted to officiate the same fixture (City v Liverpool) two seasons in a row....this beggars all belief and logic.

right on half time walton gave everton a soft free kick in a dangerous position just outside the area in an attempt to let them go in at half time with a 2-0 lead. no doubt he was disappointed they fucked it up.

he failed to give arteta a second yellow for a professional foul on tevez and guess who scored everton's second? he did however manage to book our captain given for being justifiably outraged.

does this fucker ever ref a game not involving a scouse team or affecting a scouse team's interests?

city should do a bacon face and insist he never refs one of our games again. there's stacks of video evidence from the liverpool home games in the last two seasons as well as last night's game.

-- Thu Mar 25, 2010 2:57 pm --

and another thing where did he get only 4 minutes of 2nd half stoppage time from? howard must have been down for at least 3 minutes feigning injury plus 5 subs and blatant time wasting with all of everton's goal kicks in the second half when howard called on his defenders to stroll back and take them.

Peter Walton writes a column in his local paper. After the Liverpool match this is what he wrote;

"Competition is good for you
COMPETITION?

In today’s society there seems to be a lot of people who shy away from any form of competition.I noticed the Olympic games had a banner

stating that it was the taking part that counted not the winning...what a load of trollop.

You ask any sportsman or woman what it is like to cross that line first or win that match. The feeling of elation is fantastic. It makes all the hours of practice and heartache worth every penny when you get a result or realise that ambition.

That’s why I was so disappointed with the manner that both teams played out last Sunday’s match when Manchester City hosted Liverpool.

Both sides have their eyes set firmly on the fourth Champions League spot by finishing fourth in the Premier League and both sides have the squads of top class players to achieve this.

But what a let down. The game was played out in a nervous, negative manner with neither team wanting to win the match and both ready to accept a draw. It really emphasised the pressures that teams are under to win or more importantly not to lose.

We are all guilty of this type of thinking at times and it really just displays our inner feelings of competition. My pub has just bought a Wii game and the amount of competition seen by the regulars in their quest to win is incredible.

Normal placid persons turning into nervous wrecks, just because the thought of not winning comes into their minds. Remember not all people will win, not all teams will triumph but if you put in the best possible performance you can, you’ll have an inner feeling about yourself that says you’ve won your own personal battle"

I would love Bobby Manc to have the similar opportunity to comment on Mr Waltons performances over the past 2 games

no but giving them that free kick that led to their first goal, completley changed the whole course of the game. before that they were not in it at all. Then all of a sudden they score from a dodgy decision and they sat back in number and waited to break.

We should have dealt with the free-kick. End of.

Putting "end of" on the end of a post makes you look a prize ****.

-- Thu Mar 25, 2010 5:21 pm --

Blowing the whistle when Johnson had the ball, for me completely summed the half up on a whole.

He blows up when time is up, it doesn't matter who has the ball, they have a clock for a reason. Whinge at his piss poor decisions by all means, but not his time keeping, only he knows what time was on the clock.

Oh come on cleavers for fucks sake. Most referees wait until the ball is in a neutral area (usually middle third). It has always been this way with a notable exception or two. Which is why they are notable.

You know that, I know that, my neighbours pet gerbils know that. The clock should alsop have been increased after the 2 min board went up for the Arteta foul on Tevez.

WHy can you not just accept that the twat is bent as canal street pub crawl?

If you think your reps bad then put up for it yourself rather than casting aspersions.
