Gordon Taylor has slammed city's bid for Kaka ,,saying that "in times like these, with the credit crunch, its unthinkable that one club can bid so much for one player,, . In all my years as a football fan, not once can i think of a time that gordon taylor has helped to enhance the beautiful game,, he should climb back into his hole and keep quiet... TOSS POT

partly agree with him

we should at least build 100 million pounds worth of leisure facilities for the people of Manchester

it's an obscenity don't kid yourself it's anything different

it's brilliant to be able to outspend anyone though!

watching kaka will be a pretty good leisure option

100 mil being pumped into footballs industry in one go and more to come.If that was pumped into mine,my union would be dancing in the streets with wage;s and jobs more secure..he;s another one who hates to see city as "the chosen ones"...

just because kaka can score over 50 odd goals in maybe 2-3 seasons and it took good old gordon his entire 18 year career to beat the 55 mark, doesn't mean he can go round telling people how to spend their money, leave that to the chancellor of the exchequer you big gruffy ball bag.

Coludn't agree more - he's got a right cushy number and he's a miserable, blinkered sod.

Bollox is it an obscenity. Well it is but only as much as 30 million is. 50 grand a week. 100 grand a week whatever. If you start bringing social infrastructure into it then all of it is obscene of course. The joke is that no-one has been reacting like this before. Vested interests and the challenge of the status quo is the only reason that after many years of bigger and bigger transfer fees that this one is apparently worthy of more comment than all the others combined. It's just bollox.

Lets freeze the league table as it is and just reproduce it every week for the next few decades and then those feeling threatened will rest a little easier at night bless 'em.

He's the one who's always coming saying that the players are paid at a decent rate and it's their market value and the wages suit the job.

HA HA HA. Just search Google for "Gordon Taylor wages", here's the results:

what the fuck does it matter if theres a credit crunch?
its not like we've nicked the money from the poor and needy
its ours and we can do what we want with it

In the papers today they were saying how much the transfer fee would pay for hospitals, help people out of jobs etc. What responsibility is it of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family to help the UK Government pay for their own mistakes and mad money management?

Same with Abramovich, he made his money, he can make a street paved of gold in Kensington if he wants, it's his money, he can do what he wants with it. As someone earlier said, it's pumping money into the industry. With that money hopefully AC Milan will buy more players, hopefully from all around Europe, and there we go, the money's been distributed around Europe and prompting activity in the transfer window...which is what everyone was asking for two weeks ago!

Gordon Taylor is a truly dreadful individual. He has defended the greed and selfishness of the modern day players for years but now for some bizarre reason he decides that this deal is the cut off point. All the 30 odd million deals and the 100+k contracts are fine but this one is too far and now suddenly he has the right to give public judgement on what a private individual from another country should be doing with his own personal fortune. Personally I think the amounts paid for and to players in the Prem has been immoral for years but it is getting right on my tits that everyone is choosing this dea to whinge about. Aside from this hypocrisy, the whole notion that spending big money in a recession is sending out a bad message and is in some way immoral is ridiculous. Gordon the moron should be paying attention to the news. The problem with the economy is that money is not moving around, governments are trying to encourage spending. The money for this deal, if it goes ahead, will filter through to other clubs and the game will have some extra money that would othrwise be sitting in an Arab bank account. Hopefully he will tell his members at the "big 4" clubs that it is immoral to be earning 100k a week and tell them to give it to redundant car workers.

obviously pisses in the same pot as red nose at the swamp, I bet hes the first to try and sign him up for his union as soon as he arrives for first days training, please let it happen just to shut up all the rags at work
