So they won't get any slower, if they aren't played as often, which means less potential games for Foden?Fern and Silva are still going to be there next season and not getting any slower especially if rotated well. Kevin, Bernardo, Gundogan + Fern replacement/understudy. That's six prayers competing with Foden. May be a loan to a well managed team makes sense ?

More competition and no injuries,like KdB this season, might mean similar opportunities next time, which wouldn't be good enough.So they won't get any slower, if they aren't played as often, which means less potential games for Foden?

Thought he looked pretty poor at dribbling forward with the ball yesterday. The ball was constantly looking like it was behind him and he couldn’t play it in front of himself properly while he ran forward.
But his lay off and first touch are both looking good.
Only 31 passes of the ball against a team like Rotherham though. The other players need to trust him more and pass the ball to him when he’s in space. Poor from them that, shows they don’t fully trust him yet, even against Rotherham.
Very long way to go for Phil yet. Good prospect though and hope he plays on Wednesday as well.

I get that we all want to see him become as special as we hope, but honestly, the impatience about it is a little frustrating. 18 year olds just don't become the heart of the midfield in top sides very often, it's usually when they're around 20 that they properly break through. Foden is playing more than most would at that stage of their career.
Why is it always the assumption, that because people want to see a young player get more time on the pitch, that they want him to be a key, starting player ?
This is an identikit response from the past ten years. Why ?

This and the sheer speed of thought and his feet along with his ability to find a yard on anyone from a standing start.
Very Silva like in his ability to keep it in tight space as well.
