Don't think there's any reason to think that other than because it somehow means there's nothing City could have done.
By Guardiola's own account, they were close to signing a deal, having even agreed most of it verbally towards the end of May, then we went after Sanchez very publicly and he and his people started getting less responsive.
As a player, there's really no reason to leave City until we try and sign Sanchez - we offered him a bigger deal than he got at Dortmund, and there was an obvious position in the squad - a world class squad under one of the greatest coaches in history.
Anyway, it's done now and it's a very different situation to Foden.
There is a reason I think it, Sancho and his advisers knew full well the situation at City before he signed, they knew how difficult it was for anyone to break through, they also knew that City's academy has some of the best development coaching available in the country, add to that the exposure to Europe these kids gain from playing in the under19 CL.
And I suspect it will happen again and again until we show evidence of a clear pathway from the youth teams into the senior team.
