Think Pep knew there was a good chance he'd get sent off after he got booked the first time. BT showed a clip of him on the touchline shouting 'I was right' after the second yellow.

He's not a player who gets booked often, so I think it'll be a good learning experience for him, despite how annoying it is as a fan and how inconsistent the ref was. First yellow was soft as fuck but you can't be making that second challenge at 5-1 up when you're already booked. He'll take it as a valuable lesson and move on. Was absolutely sparkling tonight otherwise. Really hope he gets a start in one of the next two league matches with Rodri injured and Gundo as DM.

Could have easily had 3 assists (Raheem 1-on-1 and Aguero). Outstanding player. Weirdly enough, I think the red card helped him. Pep knows he wont shy away from tackles, and will spend time with him to iron out the rashness. He loves taking players and elevating them to the next level, and the sky's the limit with him.

Plus, he's absolutely rapid. Dave and Bernardo aren't reliant on pace, but Phil seems a foot or two quicker. A bit more experience, time in front of goal, selfishness and mass and we've got a World Class player on our hands.

What a gem of a player honestly. Has a bit more drive to his play than David does/did which makes him a very exciting prospect for us.

And this is how he learns. (Red card and all.) Really valuable experience for him tonight and I was so pleased to see him in the line-up.
Yes, he just needed to have that first yellow in the back of his mind before trying the tactical foul. 5-1 up and cruising with less than 10 mins to go was the ideal situation to learn that lesson.

That pass to set up Raz for the one on one was footballing porn.
