Phoning Celebrities

On another thread, Lucky Toma has said that he had John Motson's phone number and gave him a call just because he could.

Anyone got any celeb phoning stories?

I used to know a lad who somehow had a number for Noel Edmonds (or so he swore) and reckons that he used to give him a call every time he had been out and came back steaming. Obviously Noel was not playing ball and didn't exactly engage in a long winded conversation. Probably nonsense but it made me laugh. I bet he was just getting through to some random old bloke.

When i was about 15 and even more of a twat than i am now... i got Rik Waller's number he gave out to someone on the train .. i overhead him talking to a fan and wrote his number on my phone.

That evening i phoned him round a mates house party, worst convo ever.

Also around the same time , Ricky Gervais held up a piece of paper in his changing room with Stephen Merchant with a list of celebrity's (cant remember what DVD).. zoomed in and saw Kate Winslets number - my brother equally had a shite convo with her.

I got Bernie Ecclestone's number once when a diary was left open on a desk at a job I was on.

I gave him a call to try to blag some tickets for the GP but he was having none of it.

When I was briefly working for a company called Carcare express (trinity way) I had to take Anthony H Wilson's jag back to him (after he had scuffed it etc) and I had access to his number..
So I stored it in my phone, like he was my mucca...and obviously waited till I was pissed, and rung him to discuss music and the like...he was not a happy chappy lol
Blew my mates mind, because he was massive fan of him (and the Hacienda and all that bollocks!!!)...funny at the time, bit sad of me looking back!
