Photo download...techie help.

Been trying to load photos from my phone but recently things have changed and I cant get the photos into my folders but the initials HEIC appear of the blank boxes FFS. Why do the anonymous twats that work at these place decide to change things that worked perfectly previously and confuse the life out of normal people.

What phone are you using( iPhone/Android ), what are you trying to move the photos onto? ( PC/Mac etc )

They have to do something to justify their existence. Changing stuff for no reason is their number one tactic.

Have you tried this solution mate? Nothing surprises me with Aplle.

Its a Samsung whatever and I'm trying to move them to my folders, from there to ebay etc. Having said that I think I've found out about using the phone directly for ebay but still cant seem to download photos to the folders. Older photos are there but none from recently.
