Hell... needs me
Hey up.

How do I get a picture of a person from one photo and resize it to fit into another photo on photoshop? Where I work we are only allowed one framed photo on our desk and we're only allowed to have pictures of family. I'm hoping to get a picture of myself imposed upon a picture of the A-Team. I grew up watching them and class them as people who have made me a better and all-rounded individual. Thats what families do.

Any tips would be welcome and appreciated. Thanks.

It might be easier to get a new job

Of you are stuck where you sre the basic principle would be to isolate your face using the selection tools like the magic wand then copy your face onto the a team photo. google is your friend <a class="postlink" href="http://www.google.co.uk/search?rlz=1C1GGLS_en-GBGB291&aq=0&oq=photoshop+superimpose&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=photoshop+superimpose+image" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" target="_blank">http://www.google.co.uk/search?rlz=1C1G ... pose+image</a>[color=#4040FF

Cheers. I've been on google for ages, but just wondered if a briefer step by step giude could be given. Not arsed about the quality of the end product. I'm doing it to piss off the management.

I'm going from memory so i might be wrong but try this

Right click on the layer that you picture is on -> you probably only have one layer <- and select 'layer from background'. On the photo of you create a new layer mask (layers->new layer mask->reveal all). That will put a mask on your image and you'll get a new square thing on the layer pallete on the same layer as the photo. If you click on that new square you can then use any brush to make the background of your image invisible. Colour in the layer white (or black I forget which but one makes it disappear and the other makes it reappear) and the background becomes invisible. When all have left is your face open the ateam image then select the image of you again. Then drag and drop the layer from the layer palette onto your ateam image. You can resize the layer using the resize tool.

I'm sure that's clear as mud but hope it helps!

the magic wand is a bit clumsy - it paicks up similar colour surrounding the part that you want.
My tip is: Click on the pen tool, draw a path around the area you want. Make a "work path" , then make selection, "feather area" by 5pixels to get a soft edge. Copy and paste selection onto picture you want to impose on. Go to edit (at top) click on "scale", this will allow you to play around with size of your selection.
Hope this helps.
