Changing subject slightly I met Andy Peebles when he was working at Radio Lancashire back in the mid 1990's. Upon hearing I too was a fellow City fan he came over and introduced himself brilliantly.

'Andy Peebles, fellow sufferer' before shaking my hand.

Genius.

And the point about him being the last person to interview John Lennon is correct.

Remember one derby day at Maine road when Mckenzie scored and we won 1-0. The familiar 'it's a goal' boomed out. The dj said that at last there's been a goal at Maine road and then said we will go over to see who's scored after a commercial break!!

Anybody else used to hang around the Piccadilly Radio tent at the Flower Show in Platt Fields, usually in the vain hope of getting a free t-shirt or sweat shirt? The most I ever got was a load of car stickers!

I once recited the alphabet backwards on Piccadilly when they were at Platt Fields, and won a UFO t-shirt (the band). Wankers....
